In a statement by Governor Buni’s media aide, Mamman Mohammed, the President commended the defectors for their courage and belief in the APC’s vision for national progress.
“From today, you will be treated equally with older members of the party. We are proud of your determination to support the APC in its mission to advance national development,” Tinubu said.

The APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who led members of the National Working Committee (NWC) to the event, urged the new members to fully integrate and contribute to the party’s growth.
“The party belongs to you. Feel at home and work for the success of the APC,” Yilwatda said.

Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim Masari, called on Jigawa residents to continue supporting the APC-led government, assuring them of more developmental benefits from the Tinubu administration.
Governor Namadi expressed gratitude for the federal government’s support and declared that Jigawa remains a strong APC base.
“With this wave of defections, APC’s position in Jigawa is unshakable,” he affirmed.
