Adewale, who represents Ifako Ijaiye Constituency I in the State House of Assembly, highlighted the progress made under Tinubu’s leadership after overseeing the screening process for distributing free GCE forms to candidates in Lagos on Saturday.

He commended the Federal Government for launching initiatives that have successfully engaged young people in education and productive ventures.
Since the introduction of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) by President Tinubu’s administration, there has been a notable increase in Nigerians seeking admission into tertiary institutions nationwide.

“President Tinubu is committed to raising Nigeria’s literacy levels. If this momentum continues, by the end of his second term in 2031, Nigeria will proudly achieve a 100 percent literacy rate, including addressing the issue of out-of-school children,” Adewale said.
As of April 2025, NELFUND reported over 500,000 student loan applications across the country, a figure Adewale described as encouraging and vital for future government planning.
He also noted the support from state governments, highlighting Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s recent attendance at the graduation of 5,300 residents from the Lagos Skill Acquisition Programmes, which has helped reduce unemployment.
“This year, we are distributing 400 forms and also providing JAMB forms because education remains the most powerful tool for transforming lives and shaping the future.
“This initiative reflects my commitment to ensuring no student misses out on educational opportunities due to financial challenges. Our aim is to make Ifako Ijaiye the most educated local government in Nigeria by 2031,” Adewale added.
Through the Adewale Temitope Educational Initiatives (ATA EI), he has already distributed over 8,000 free GCE and JAMB forms and awarded scholarships to at least 120 students in various Nigerian tertiary institutions.
“This shows the government’s dedication to youth development, and with another term under President Tinubu and our party, Nigerians will look back with gratitude for this opportunity,” he concluded.
