- Tobun describes Osinaike as a dedicated contributor to Lagos education sector
- Encourages him to fully venture into politics after retirement
- Says Osinaike still has much to offer his community and beyond
Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Epe Constituency I, Abiodun Mustain Tobun, has lauded the remarkable contributions of retired education administrator, Segun Osinaike, describing him as a dedicated public servant whose legacy in the education sector remains significant.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Tobun made this known during the 60th birthday and statutory retirement celebration of Osinaike held at Education District III, Falomo, where dignitaries gathered to honor the outgoing Tutor General/Permanent Secretary.
Speaking during an interview, the lawmaker praised Osinaike’s years of service, noting that his commitment to educational development in Lagos State has left a lasting impact.
“Prince Osinaike Olusegun is a very dedicated man who has contributed immensely to the development of education,” Tobun said.
He emphasized that Osinaike’s experience and leadership capacity go beyond the classroom and public administration, stressing that such qualities are needed in broader spheres of governance.
According to Tobun, retirement from public service should not mark the end of Osinaike’s contribution to society, but rather the beginning of a new phase of service.
“Now that he has retired, he should fully join politics because he still has a lot to offer his community,” he added.
The lawmaker noted that individuals with proven track records like Osinaike possess the discipline, vision, and people-oriented approach required to drive meaningful development at the grassroots level.
Tobun further hinted that Osinaike’s influence and goodwill within the education sector and beyond could serve as a strong foundation for political engagement and community leadership.
The event, which attracted top government officials, education stakeholders, and community leaders, provided a platform for reflecting on Osinaike’s contributions and exploring future possibilities for continued service.
Observers at the event noted that Tobun’s endorsement signals confidence in Osinaike’s ability to transition into politics and continue making impactful contributions to the growth and development of his community.
