EKO HOT BLOG reports that for the first time in history, Nigerian films surpassed foreign films, securing 50.4% of the total box office revenue.
Here are the top 10 grossing Nigerian movies of 2024:
1. Queen Lateefah
Directed by Adeoluwa Owu, this drama, starring Wumi Toriola in the lead role, became the highest-grossing Nigerian film of 2024, earning ₦357,711,417.
2. Àjosepò
A comedy-drama directed by Kayode Kasum, “Àjosepò” tells the story of a young couple preparing for their wedding amidst family secrets and tensions. It grossed ₦257,254,189.
