Toyin Abraham has recorded a major milestone in Nollywood as her first directorial effort, Oversabi Aunty, crossed one billion streams and generated over ₦1 billion in box office revenue.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the achievement was announced by the film’s distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, in a post shared on its official Instagram page.
According to the distributor, Oversabi Aunty has become the first Nollywood directorial debut to hit the one-billion mark and now ranks as the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time.

FilmOne described the feat as a moment of celebration across West Africa, noting that the movie is still showing in cinemas globally.

Reacting to the development, Toyin Abraham took to her Instagram page to express gratitude to God, her fans, and everyone involved in the project.
She thanked Nigerians, her cast and crew, FilmOne Entertainment, and supporters for standing by the film from its release.
The actress described the achievement as overwhelming, noting that Oversabi Aunty marked her first time directing a feature film for the big screen, adding that the movie continues to enjoy strong audience support in cinemas.
