The Alara of Ilara Kingdom has praised the Epe Division Professional Women Association (EPWA) for what he described as sustained and measurable contributions to development across communities in Epe Division, noting that the association’s activities have become “clearly visible in our communities.”
Eko Hot Blog reports that the monarch made the remarks during EPWA’s Awards and Recognition for Excellence Ceremony held at the Eredo LCDA Hall, Epe, where stakeholders gathered to celebrate outstanding women and empower entrepreneurs across the division.

According to him, EPWA has distinguished itself as a credible community-driven organisation whose interventions are not only consistent but also deeply impactful.

He stressed that many initiatives carried out by the association over the years have directly improved the lives of residents, particularly in the areas of education support, healthcare outreach, and economic empowerment.
The traditional ruler highlighted that the group’s empowerment programmes for women, youths, widows, and students have helped to strengthen household incomes and reduce vulnerability in several communities.
He added that such efforts demonstrate a strong understanding of local needs and a commitment to addressing them in practical ways.

He further commended EPWA for complementing government efforts in social development, describing the association as a dependable partner in grassroots progress. In his words, organisations like EPWA play a crucial role in bridging gaps in service delivery, especially at the community level where support is most needed.
The Alara also acknowledged the association’s consistency over the years, noting that sustaining humanitarian work for more than a decade requires dedication, unity, and vision.
He encouraged members to remain steadfast in their mission, urging them not to relent despite challenges.
