Motorists and commuters in Epe are expected to adjust to temporary traffic changes following the official commencement of junction improvement works at the busy Ita-Marun axis.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the development forms part of ongoing road infrastructure efforts by the Lagos State Government aimed at decongesting traffic and improving vehicular movement across key corridors within the community.

The project, which has now entered a more visible phase, follows earlier consultations with residents and stakeholders.
During one of such engagements, the lawmaker representing Epe Constituency I, Abiodun Tobun, had explained that the government adopted a comprehensive junction improvement strategy as a more effective and sustainable alternative to traffic light installation.
With construction activities intensifying, notable traffic diversions have been introduced to ensure smooth progress of the work while maintaining vehicular flow.
Under the new traffic arrangement, vehicles approaching from the Iraye-Oke axis are now required to make a U-turn near the Fire Service station.
Similarly, motorists coming from Odomola and heading toward Odo-Obara High School Road are to redirect their movement by making a U-turn at Ita-Opo.
To further ease accessibility and reduce inconvenience, an additional route is expected to be opened around the T-Tab Filling Station area as the project advances.
Traffic management officials have been deployed to the area to guide motorists and ensure compliance with the new directions.
Residents and road users are therefore advised to remain patient, observe traffic rules, and cooperate with officials to guarantee safety during the construction period.
When completed, the junction improvement is projected to significantly enhance traffic coordination, reduce congestion, and improve overall road safety at one of the busiest intersections in Epe.
Authorities have assured that updates on the progress of the project will be communicated as work continues.
