According to an official press release on Wednesday by the Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, the first success was recorded in the Bagega axis of Anka LGA.
Armed with high-grade intelligence indicating that heavily armed terrorists were moving on motorcycles toward Tungan Kudaduku, the military acted quickly.
Guided by real-time surveillance, the troops pursued and intercepted the convoy, engaging the armed bandits with superior firepower.
Unable to withstand the military’s onslaught, the terrorists abandoned their planned operation and fled into nearby bushes. A thorough search of the vicinity led to the discovery of a hidden makeshift camp where five kidnapped civilians were rescued completely unharmed.
The second operation unfolded at Ungwan Rogo within the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.
Acting on additional tips regarding suspicious terrorist movement, the troops advanced on the location.

Upon making contact with the criminal elements, a fierce gun battle ensued, forcing the outgunned bandits to retreat and leave behind their captives.
The military successfully rescued eight more victims and recovered two logistics vehicles left behind by the fleeing suspects.
All 13 rescued individuals have since been safely transported and handed over to relevant state authorities for immediate medical evaluation, rehabilitation, and reunification with their families.
Lieutenant Colonel Danja reassured residents that the Joint Task Force remains fully committed to maintaining an aggressive operational posture.
Troops are consistently dominating the general area to deny the bandits any freedom of movement or action, ensuring peace and safety are restored across the North-West zone.
