Trump accused Zelensky of lacking gratitude for US support, stating, “You don’t have the cards right now. You’re either going to make a deal or we’re out.” After the confrontation, Trump canceled a joint press conference and announced on social media that Zelensky could return “when he is ready for peace.”
The fallout sparked international reactions, with European leaders reaffirming support for Ukraine. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk assured Zelensky, “You are not alone,” while British Prime Minister Keir Starmer pledged “unwavering support” for Kyiv.
