The Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse recently hosted a delegation from the United Kingdom Ministry of Justice on a learning visit focused on strengthening knowledge exchange in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and court-connected mediation.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the delegation, which included Sorrel Evans, Justice and Home Affairs Attaché, and Christina Soper, Head of Unit, Rule of Law, was received by former LMDC Director/CEO, Achere Cole, alongside members of the management team.

Welcoming the visitors, Cole reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to continuous learning, institutional excellence, and global collaboration in advancing dispute resolution systems.

During the visit, the LMDC management team presented an overview of its structure and operations. Olubusola Ojo, former Registrar and Head of Operations, led in-depth discussions on the centre’s institutional framework, case management processes, and the principles driving its success.
The UK delegation noted that the purpose of the visit was to gain practical insights into the LMDC’s innovative “multi-door courthouse” model and to explore best practices in improving access to justice through alternative dispute mechanisms.

The engagement highlighted a shared commitment by both Nigeria and the United Kingdom to strengthening the rule of law and expanding the use of ADR in justice delivery systems.
