The Bushehr plant, located in southern Iran and powered by a 1,000-megawatt reactor, has reportedly been struck multiple times since the escalation of hostilities involving the United States and Israel.

The latest incident, according to Iranian media, occurred over the weekend.
Although satellite imagery reviewed by the IAEA confirmed that the recent strike did not damage the reactor itself, Grossi disclosed that one of the impacts occurred just a short distance from the facility’s perimeter.
He stressed that nuclear installations and their surrounding areas must not be targeted under any circumstances, given the potential dangers involved.

Bushehr remains Iran’s only functioning nuclear power station and was constructed with support from Russia.
Following the most recent strike, reports from Russian media indicated that dozens of workers were evacuated from the site as a precautionary measure, while a smaller number of personnel remain on duty.
