The superstar not only secured the No. 1 position as Nigeria’s most-streamed artiste, but Morayo also claimed the title of the country’s most-streamed album of the year.
The project enjoyed massive global traction, topping Apple Music’s Sub-Saharan Africa chart and reinforcing Wizkid’s status as a leading voice in Afrobeats.

Seyi Vibez and Asake followed closely behind him on the artistes’ list, marking a competitive year in which several heavyweights pushed out chart-dominating singles and projects. Burna Boy maintained his strong presence as Nigeria’s most-exported artiste globally, affirming his international pull.
In the female category, Ayra Starr reclaimed her place as the most-streamed female artist in Nigeria, ahead of Tems, Smur Lee, Tiwa Savage, and gospel favourite Sunmisola Agbebi.
Davido also recorded major wins, with his track “With You” featuring Omah Lay becoming Nigeria’s most-streamed song of 2025. His album 5ive ranked second on the albums chart, while BNXN, ODUMODUBLVCK, Rema, and Olamide also made significant showings across the lists.

Spotify’s Wrapped summary shows a year dominated by Afrobeats, genre-blending experiments, and rising Gen-Z stars who expanded the soundscape with new styles and viral hits.
Industry analysts say the results reflect the continued globalisation of Nigerian music, with artistes now competing not just locally but across continents.
