Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has approved the appointment of new officials to head key agencies and commissions across the state.
The announcement was made on Friday in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Mohamed, who noted that the appointments are part of Radda’s commitment to effective governance and public service reform.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to the statement, Abba Junaidu was appointed Chairman of the Katsina State Road Maintenance Agency. Junaidu, a seasoned engineer, previously served as Chief Building Officer and Assistant Project Manager at the Ministry of Education, and later as Principal Civil Engineer and Chief Resident Engineer at the Ministry of Works.
Dr. Babangida Ruma was named Director-General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency. A technologist and entrepreneur, Ruma once served as Technical Assistant to the Governor on Enterprise Development. He was also recognised by UNESCO’s Institute for Information Technologies in Education as “Father of Technology and Innovation” for his role in advancing technological development.
The governor also appointed Idris Usman Tune as Chairman of the Civil Service Commission. Tune, who holds degrees in Political Science and Public Administration, previously served as Katsina’s Head of Service until May 2023.
In addition, Governor Radda constituted the Katsina State Pension Bureau and the State and Local Government Pension Transition Board. The Pension Bureau will be chaired by Ibrahim Boyi Dutsinma, with Musa Rabiu Mahuta, Abbati Ibrahim Masanawa, Usman Shehu, and Dr. Faruk Aminu holding executive positions.
Governor Radda urged all appointees to uphold excellence, transparency, and dedication to service in line with his administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda. The appointments take immediate effect.
