EKO HOT BLOG reports that the confirmation came after a rigorous closed-door screening session where the nominees were grilled by lawmakers on their strategies to strengthen national security and combat insurgency, banditry, and other threats across the country.
According to reports, the decoration ceremony is taking place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The event marks the formal assumption of the Service Chiefs in their new capacities, signaling the start of a new phase in Nigeria’s defence leadership.
Those in attendance include the leadership of the National Assembly, state governors, ministers, other senior military officers, and top government officials who gathered to witness the ceremony.

The newly confirmed Service Chiefs include General Olufemi Oluyede (Chief of Defence Staff), Major General Waheedi Shaibu (Chief of Army Staff), Rear Admiral Idi Abbas (Chief of Naval Staff), Air Vice Marshal Kennedy Aneke (Chief of Air Staff), and Major General Emmanuel Undiendeye (Chief of Defence Intelligence).
