The Katsina State Police Command has declared a police constable, Ahmed Tukur, missing after he signed out a service rifle for duty and failed to return or make further contact.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the incident occurred on November 23, 2025, when Tukur reported for standby duty at the Danmusa Division. He officially collected an AK47 rifle with breech number 13492 at about 6 p.m. Shortly after receiving the weapon, he left the station for an unknown destination and has not been seen since.
According to reports, all attempts to reach him through phone calls, visits to his residence, and inquiries made to his relatives have produced no useful information. This has raised serious concerns about his safety and the whereabouts of the rifle.
Security sources said the police command has intensified efforts to locate the missing officer and recover the firearm. The situation has been described as a major operational and security concern for the command.
