A Nigerian traveller, Isiaq Dahunsi, has died while on board an international flight from Istanbul to Lagos.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, April 27, 2026, as the aircraft was en route to Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

News of his death was shared by an associate, Ishola Isiaq, an Imam with the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria, via a post on social media.

According to the cleric, Dahunsi passed away mid-flight while returning to Nigeria from Türkiye. He described the deceased as a childhood friend and offered prayers for his soul.
However, details surrounding the circumstances of the incident remain unclear, as no official cause of death has been disclosed. Information about the airline involved has also not been made public.
Authorities are yet to issue a formal statement regarding the incident.
