As the Lenten season begins, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, has extended warm wishes to Christian faithful, urging them to embrace the spirit of fasting, prayer, and charity.

“Lent is a time for us to purify our hearts, seek divine wisdom, and strengthen our relationship with God. As we embark on this 40-day journey, may we find strength and guidance in our faith,” she stated.
Quoting Matthew 4:4, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God,” she encouraged Christians to draw inspiration from the scriptures and uphold the virtues of love, compassion, and kindness.
The Chairman also called on residents to use this sacred period to promote unity and peace within the community.
