The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Taraba State Command, Abdulahi Usman, has passed away following a prolonged illness.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Usman, who served as the Command’s spokesperson for the past three years, died in the early hours of Sunday at his residence in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.

Confirming the news, the second-in-command to the PPRO, Gambo Kwache, who had been acting in his absence, revealed that he received multiple missed calls and a message informing him of Usman’s passing.
Close associate Ahmed Manga also confirmed the sad development, stating that Usman, though not critically ill, took a turn for the worse on Saturday night.

Efforts to transport him to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo, were unsuccessful, as he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Usman’s burial is scheduled for Sunday afternoon in accordance with Islamic rites.
