The Bado Isale Descendants Forum has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba Shefiu Adewale Olatunji, the Olu Epe of Epe Kingdom, describing his death as a monumental loss to the people of Epe and the traditional institution.
Ekohotblog reports that in a condolence message signed by the forum’s secretary, Kadri Idowu Rahmon, the group described the late monarch as a man of honor, peace, and integrity whose reign was marked by selfless service and genuine love for his people.

“The revered King was a great personality, community builder, peace maker, and a traditional ruler with a deep sense of dignity and integrity,” the statement read.
The forum extended heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the Olu Epe-in-Council, the Mogaji Ngeri of Epe Kingdom, all Mogajis, and the entire Epe community.
“This is a colossal and irreparable loss not just to the royal family but to every indigene of Epe. Kabiyesi was a father to all — wise, approachable, and committed to the advancement of our community,” Rahmon said.

The statement also acknowledged the monarch’s unwavering efforts toward promoting peace, cultural preservation, and traditional values in Epe Kingdom.
“His reign brought a renewed sense of pride to the traditional institution in Epe. We pray that Almighty Allah accepts his return, forgives him, and grants him Aljanah Firdaus.”

“Kabiyesi was not just a ruler; he was a symbol of hope and cultural rebirth,” said Chief Saheed Olowu, an elder in the community. “His death is indeed painful, but we find solace in the exemplary life he lived.”
