Kidnappers who attacked a Benue Links commercial bus in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State have demanded a ransom of ₦350 million for the release of the abducted passengers.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the passengers were seized on Saturday, June 22, when gunmen suspected to be bandits ambushed the state-owned vehicle.

The armed assailants reportedly forced the passengers into the bush at gunpoint, leaving the vehicle abandoned at the scene.
A relative of one of the victims, Terna Agbecha, confirmed the development, stating that his cousin, Hembadoon Akume, is among those currently being held captive by the abductors.

According to Agbecha, the kidnappers have already contacted the family and issued the hefty demand. “They called and asked for N350 million. Our elder sister has paid N500,000, but they refused to set her free,” he said.
