He said, “Your service year is not just for you to waste gallivanting. It is a period for you to put in your very best by coming up with Initiatives that will proffer solutions to any challenge that people are facing where you are serving.
You have to think outside the box, be creative and innovative. Your achievements would go a long way in boosting your Curriculum Vitae (CV), which will ultimately open good doors for you in the future and the labour market.”

In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Pharm (Mrs) Toyin Oke Osanyintolu, encouraged the Corps members to view this period of their lives as a crucial stage that will shape their future.
In her words, “I would advise everyone of you to avoid all sorts of frivolous activities that will derail you in this period. Let your focus be on the objective of NYSC which is to render service to your fatherland wherever you find yourselves.
The Ministry is ever ready to assist you in implementing any programme that would be of benefit to Lagosians”.
As your Permanent Secretary, my office is always open for you. Take advantage of your service year to make a lasting impact in any area for which you want to be remembered.
You can use this one year to write your name in gold by implementing a novel programme or project. Please don’t waste this period of your life”, she advised.
Responding on behalf of the Corps members, Michael Adenuga, the initiator of “Corp Members Connect,” explained that the idea behind the forum was to provide an opportunity for Corps members to engage with the Ministry’s management staff, learn from their experiences, and build stronger collaboration. He added that they are committed to making a meaningful impact during their service year.
