A moment of pride and honour has dawned upon the community of Odo-Ayandelu, as one of its own, Okunade Paul, emerged victorious in the just-concluded LASTMA Essay Competition.
Ekohotblog reports that After delivering an exceptional performance in a preliminary essay contest, Paul was selected to represent his district at the state level.
He was paired with a junior secondary school student and a primary school pupil to deliver a team presentation based on a field trip experience.
Their synergy, clarity of thought, and creativity stood out among other competing teams, earning them the first-place position in the competition.
“To God be the glory, the team came first and will be awarded at Eko Hotel and Suites tomorrow,” the statement read.
The victory has sparked celebration across the community, especially in Odo-Ayandelu, with many hailing the achievement as a symbol of rising academic excellence and youth potential in the area.
The Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu Kingdom, Oba Aderibigbe Asunmo Ganiyu, has expressed great joy and pride in Paul’s achievement, noting that this victory puts Odo-Ayandelu firmly on the educational map of Lagos.
“Odo-Ayandelu to the world,” he declared in celebration.
The award ceremony will take place at Eko Hotel and Suites, where the winning team will be formally recognized for their brilliance and contribution to promoting civic education and traffic safety awareness among Lagos youth.
