Members of the Arewa Community across Epe Division on Wednesday converged at the constituency office of Wale Raji to officially declare their support for his return to the House of Representatives ahead of the next general elections.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the solidarity visit was led by Umar Abdullahi, alongside leaders of the northern community, traders, transport workers, artisans, youths, women groups, and political stakeholders who gathered in large numbers to appreciate the lawmaker for what they described as impactful representation and inclusive leadership across Epe Federal Constituency.

The atmosphere at the constituency office was filled with excitement as members of the community chanted solidarity songs and openly reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Rep. Wale Raji, alongside Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Tokunbo Abiru, and Abiodun Tobun.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Umar Abdullahi popularly known as Governor declared full support for the APC candidates, saying:

“We are here today to declare our support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our Senator Tokunbo Abiru, our House of Assembly member Hon. Abiodun Tobun, and our House of Representatives member Hon. Wale Raji. These are the leaders we know, and they have shown capacity, accessibility, and real development across our communities. We stand firmly with them for continuity.”

He commended Rep. Wale Raji for maintaining peaceful coexistence among different ethnic groups within the constituency while ensuring that development and empowerment projects reach all communities without discrimination.

According to him, the lawmaker has remained accessible to residents and consistently supportive of grassroots communities through infrastructural development, market support, youth empowerment, educational interventions, and welfare initiatives.

The group further noted that many members of the Arewa Community have benefited directly and indirectly from the peaceful environment, economic opportunities, and development projects facilitated within the constituency.

They described continuity as necessary to sustain the ongoing progress being witnessed across Epe, Eredo, and Ikosi-Ejinrin communities.

During the gathering, several community leaders offered prayers for continued peace, unity, and progress within Epe Division while urging residents to continue supporting leaders committed to grassroots development and inclusive governance.

Responding to the endorsement, Rep. Wale Raji appreciated members of the Arewa Community for the visit, describing their show of support as a reflection of unity and peaceful coexistence within the constituency.

He assured them of his continued commitment to quality representation, people-oriented projects, and programmes that would continue to benefit all residents regardless of ethnic or religious background.

“I sincerely appreciate the Arewa Community for this visit and show of solidarity. Epe Federal Constituency belongs to all of us, and we will continue to work together for peace, development, and progress,” he stated.

The visit ended with goodwill messages, prayers, and renewed commitments by members of the community to continue mobilizing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Hon. Abiodun Tobun, and Hon. Wale Raji across Epe Division.
