The Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, Joseph Eribo, has ordered a full investigation into a viral video showing armed men forcefully entering a private residence in Ado-Ekiti.
Eko Hot Blog he footage, shared online by a user identified as Michael (@MichaelFrosh32), sparked public outrage, with many accusing the uniformed men of attempted robbery in broad daylight. The incident reportedly occurred in the Adebayo area of the state capital.

The Ekiti State Police Command, in a statement released on Saturday by spokesperson SP Abutu Sunday, dissociated itself from the group of officers seen in the video.
“The Police is not part of the Operation Flush Unit as being alleged by a section of the public. The Police does not operate any unit called Operation Flush,” the statement clarified.
The Command also expressed concern over the unauthorised actions captured on tape and reaffirmed its commitment to accountability and public safety.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph Eribo, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident with the view to unravelling the facts and ensuring justice,” SP Sunday added.
The Police Complaint Response Unit (PCRU) also reacted to the viral clip on social media, urging citizens to provide more information to aid their inquiry.
Michael, who first shared the video, alleged that the men involved might have been attempting a robbery under the guise of a security operation. He called on authorities to take swift action against those involved.
Meanwhile, the police are calling on anyone with relevant information especially the victims to come forward and assist the investigation.
The Command reassured residents of Ado-Ekiti and the wider public that it will continue to uphold the rule of law and safeguard the rights of citizens.
