The National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, confirmed that a Nasarawa State High Court order, issued on July 23, 2025, specifically recognizes Julius Abure and Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim as the legitimate leaders of the Labour Party.

This ruling ends a period of uncertainty where INEC had refused to publish the names of the party’s nominated candidates.
