Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for personally leading Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements aimed at repositioning the country in global political and economic affairs.

He noted that the President’s presence and active participation demonstrated his strong commitment to restoring Nigeria’s pride on the world stage. “The first thing we should appreciate is the tremendous capacity His Excellency, the President, is bringing to diplomacy. He came to Japan to participate in TICAD9, and from here, he is heading to Brazil.
“That shows Nigerians how much personal effort he is investing to lead Nigeria’s diplomacy, attract investments, and ensure the country regains its rightful place of honour globally. This is highly commendable,” the minister said.
Bagudu further stated that beyond high-level deliberations, the summit highlighted the shared vision between Japan and Africa for sustainable development.
