President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigeria’s new service chiefs to intensify efforts in the fight against insecurity, insisting that Nigerians want tangible results rather than excuses.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the President gave the charge on Thursday during the decoration ceremony of the service chiefs at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. He emphasised that national security remains a top priority and called for renewed commitment and patriotism in protecting the nation.

“I charge you, as the heads of our nation’s armed forces, to carry out your duties with patriotic zeal. Nigerians expect results, not excuses,” Tinubu said.
He commended the Armed Forces for their ongoing efforts in restoring peace to many areas that were once under siege, rescuing kidnapped citizens, and reducing the capacity of terrorist organisations.
However, the President noted that emerging security threats continue to pose challenges across several regions, including the North Central, North West, and parts of the South.

“Of grave concern to our administration is the recent emergence of new armed groups in the North Central, North West, and parts of the South. We must not allow these new threats to fester.
“We must be decisive and proactive. Let us smash the new snakes right in the head. We cannot allow the crisis that began in 2009 to persist any longer,” he stated.
