“For too long, public institutions have relied on manual, paper-based processes that caused delays and made it difficult to retrieve important records,” he said. “The ECMS marks a turning point. It will bring transparency, support the government’s e-governance goals and improve service delivery through faster and more reliable access to information.”
The Minister noted that the initiative is not just a technology upgrade but a cultural shift towards smarter and more agile governance. He said the new system aligns the Ministry with international best practices in digital transformation.
Dr Alausa expressed appreciation to the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation for providing policy guidance and support for the project. He also commended the staff of the Ministry and its technical partners for their dedication and teamwork.

“The success of this system depends on how well we use it,” he said. “Technology is only as powerful as the people behind it. When used effectively, the ECMS will make our processes simpler, improve collaboration and preserve our institutional memory.”
He encouraged all staff to adopt the system fully and integrate it into their daily work, adding that the launch marks the beginning of a new digital journey for the Ministry.
“Today’s event is not just a ceremony, it is the start of a transformation,” Dr Alausa said. “Together, we can make the Federal Ministry of Education a model of digital excellence in Nigeria’s public sector.”
