EKO HOT BLOG reports that the announcement was made on Wednesday by Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, who said the appointment takes immediate effect. He described Galadima as an experienced town planner with more than 30 years of service in the FCTA’s Department of Development Control.
Galadima previously held several roles in the Federal Capital Territory Administration before becoming Director of the Development Control Department in 2016. He retired from the civil service in November 2025. Over the years, he participated in key ministerial committees, including the Abuja Masterplan Restoration Task Team, the Committee on Review of Revoked Titles, and the Change of Land Use Committee.
In another development, former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olabode George, has accused the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government of attempting to weaken the PDP and destabilise Nigeria’s political landscape. Speaking in Lagos on Tuesday, he urged President Bola Tinubu to caution Wike and stop him from interfering in the PDP’s internal matters.

George argued that the government is focused on political manoeuvring ahead of the 2027 elections rather than addressing growing insecurity across several states. He described the rising cases of abductions and killings as evidence of a worsening situation that requires urgent action.
