Olusanya explained that the initiative was developed in partnership with Etsu Digital Nigeria Ltd and aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s vision of leveraging technology to enhance agricultural productivity, empower farmers, and safeguard public health.

She emphasized that many communities previously faced challenges in accessing timely veterinary care, particularly in rural areas, and that the Tele-Veterinary Call Centre now bridges this gap by connecting users to certified veterinary experts via mobile phones.
The service builds on existing mobile-based platforms, M-Agric and M-Health, available on MTN and Glo networks, which provide daily farming tips, mentorship, and tele-veterinary guidance.
By dialing 20791#, subscribers can access these services, while the new call centre delivers live, real-time veterinary assistance from certified Lagos State Veterinary Consultants.

The centre offers 24/7 emergency support, first-aid instructions, disease-prevention advice, and professional guidance for livestock, pets, and crops. The service is free for current M-Agric and M-Health users, while new subscribers can access support for just ₦100 per day.
Olusanya noted that Tele-VET will improve disease surveillance, reduce animal mortality, enhance food safety, and support Lagos State’s broader agricultural and public health goals, providing farmers and pet owners across Nigeria with faster, more reliable access to veterinary expertise.
