The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has signed a partnership agreement with InnoPower Africa to expand remote job opportunities for young Nigerian professionals through diaspora-owned businesses in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formalised on the sidelines of the 8th Nigerian Diaspora Investment Summit held in Abuja.

In a statement issued by Gabriel Odu of NIDCOM’s Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, the Chairman/CEO of the Commission, Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa, described the collaboration as a major step in tackling unemployment by leveraging the expertise and networks of Nigerians abroad.
Dabiri-Erewa noted that the initiative aligns with NIDCOM’s mandate of mobilising the diaspora as a strategic force in national development.
“NIDCOM is proud to champion this initiative that embodies our core mandate: mobilising the Nigerian diaspora as active participants in solving our nation’s challenges,” she said.

She added that Nigerians abroad are employers and innovators who can create meaningful opportunities for young people back home.
Founder of InnoPower Africa, Emil Ekiyor, praised the partnership and affirmed that Nigerian youths possess world-class skills capable of delivering exceptional value to international enterprises.
He expressed optimism that the collaboration would unlock new job pathways and practical engagement opportunities for young talents.
The MoU was signed by Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa on behalf of NIDCOM and Mr Emil Ekiyor on behalf of InnoPower Africa. It was witnessed by the Secretary to the Commission, Engr. Dr. Sule Yakubu Bassi, as well as legal representatives from both organisations.
