Fubara, who recently dumped the PDP for the APC, said narratives suggesting he rejected opportunities to engage with lawmakers were entirely fabricated.

According to him, arrangements for a formal meeting had already been concluded before the political gossip began circulating.
He noted that the planned engagement was to be coordinated by former governor and current FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, alongside respected Rivers elder Ferdinand Alabraba and others. He maintained that anyone claiming he intentionally avoided reconciliation “is not being truthful.”
The governor further urged Rivers people to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying his decision to join the APC was driven solely by the need to stabilise the state and not by personal political ambition.
Fubara appealed to residents to avoid heating up the polity, assuring them that his administration remains focused on delivering ongoing development projects.

Speaking on the newly commissioned road, he reminded the crowd that the project was a campaign promise and expressed satisfaction that it had been fully delivered.
He noted that the fresh infrastructure would ease movement, stimulate economic activity and benefit communities along the route.
Despite the political tension surrounding his government, he assured the public that more projects are on the way to further improve infrastructure across Rivers State.
