- Makinde Ruined PDP Not Tinubu – Oyo APC
- Sadare insisted that the decline of the PDP was the result of poor leadership within the party
- Argued that Makinde cannot revive the party from its “comatose condition”
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said Nigerians should hold Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde responsible for the internal crises and setbacks facing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), not President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the ruling party made the comment in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Oyo State Publicity Secretary, Wasiu Olawale Sadare.

The reaction followed claims by some Nigerians who have attributed recent troubles within the PDP to alleged political manoeuvres by President Tinubu.
Sadare said such claims were misplaced, insisting that the decline of the PDP was the result of poor leadership within the party, particularly under Governor Makinde.
“Rather than look inward for solutions, supposed elders and leaders within the PDP left everything to chance and paved the way for the likes of Governor Makinde to take over the affairs of their party,” he said.

According to him, Makinde “lacked the capacity and experience” required to lead a national political party and had become “the final nemesis which consumed the PDP,” noting that he remains the only PDP governor in Southern Nigeria, with “only three or four” in the North.
Sadare argued that Makinde cannot revive the party from its “comatose condition” and said Nigerians should stop linking the PDP’s woes to President Tinubu.
“If virtually all his governor colleagues can leave the party for him, questions should be asked about his mission and vision for the PDP, while President Tinubu should be allowed to focus on his job as the president of the country,” he added.
