EKO HOT BLOG reports that checks across key street trading hubs showed that buyers paid more for the dollar compared to the previous day, while official market figures also reflected slight fluctuations at the Central Bank of Nigeria window.

The widening gap between official and black market rates continues to worry traders who fear further depreciation unless forex supply improves. Bureau de change operators noted that demand remains stronger than supply, particularly from businesses trying to restock ahead of year end.
Analysts believe the naira could face more pressure in the coming days if the central bank does not increase liquidity intervention in the official market. Some traders also predict that festive-season spending will keep pushing demand upward.

For now, the dollar remains firmly above ₦1500 in the parallel market as Nigeria battles to stabilise its currency amid global and domestic economic challenges.
