The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Dr Ayo Ogunsan, has formally deployed the LSSTF Monitoring Team, tasking its members with ensuring accountability, transparency and effective utilisation of resources allocated to security agencies operating across Lagos State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the deployment ceremony, held at the LSSTF Headquarters, represents a key step in fulfilling Ogunsan’s commitment to transparency and strengthening public confidence in the Fund’s operations.

At the event, security expert Adeniran Israel Samson was unveiled as Head of the Field Operation Office of the monitoring team. He was also presented with a new operational vehicle to enhance the team’s mobility and efficiency in carrying out its duties.
Speaking during the deployment, Ogunsan stressed that the monitoring team was established to ensure strict compliance, value for money and responsible use of assets provided to security agencies. He reminded team members that their work must uphold the trust placed in the Fund by corporate donors, individuals and the Lagos State Government.

Ogunsan noted that the credibility of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund depends on how well donated resources are safeguarded and accounted for, urging the team to discharge its responsibilities diligently and professionally.
The constitution and deployment of the monitoring team fulfil a pledge made by Ogunsan during a Strategic Media Parley with senior editors and media executives held at the LSSTF Headquarters on December 5, 2025, where he assured that every naira donated would translate into improved security and safety for Lagos residents.
