Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu, has appointed Temitope George as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission, in a move aimed at strengthening regulatory oversight and deepening reforms in the state’s power sector.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the appointment was announced in a circular issued on Tuesday by the Head of Service, Bode Agoro, who noted that George’s nomination is subject to confirmation by the Lagos State House of Assembly.

She has participated in the structuring of major infrastructure projects, regulatory negotiations, complex commercial transactions and compliance with local and international governance standards.
Industry stakeholders say her expertise could play a key role in shaping electricity regulation in Lagos, as the state seeks to improve efficiency, protect consumers and attract investment while enhancing power supply and service delivery.
