Residents trooped out in large numbers to participate in the exercise, which was orderly and well-coordinated, as volunteers worked to ensure fair and seamless distribution.
The initiative drew commendation from beneficiaries, many of whom described the support as timely and thoughtful.
The programme attracted wide participation from political, social, and community stakeholders, including party leaders, market leaders, ward and LGA executives, representatives of the Arewa Community, Igbo Group,
National Youth Council of Nigeria, Community Development Associations, members of the Epe Local Government Executive and Legislative arms, as well as support groups such as the MAT 2027 Team, Tobun 4Real Team, and PSOAG.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Tobun described the initiative as a reflection of collective responsibility, noting that “this programme is about standing with our people, especially at a time when many families are under pressure.”
He added that “Christmas should be a period of joy and unity, and our responsibility as leaders is to ensure that no one is left behind.”
He further reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented governance, saying that “beyond celebrations, we will continue to pursue initiatives that bring direct relief and long-term value to the lives of our constituents.”
Beneficiaries across the wards expressed appreciation for the intervention, noting that the food items and financial support would go a long way in supporting their households during the festive period.
As the celebration comes to an end, Hon. Tobun extended goodwill messages to residents, wishing them a peaceful Christmas season and a new year filled with hope, progress, and shared prosperity.
