Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior has confirmed that he is set to be appointed as the new manager of Chelsea Football Club following a verbal agreement with the Premier League side.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Rosenior disclosed the development on Tuesday during a press conference at his current club, Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, describing the move as an opportunity he could not turn down.
“It looks like I am going to be the next manager of that football club, Chelsea,” Rosenior said.
The English coach described the role as a major career milestone, stressing the stature of the club and the significance of the appointment.
“Being Chelsea coach is an unbelievable opportunity at an incredible club, the world champions,” he said.
“I can go home, see my kids, sign for a magnificent club. I can’t turn down this opportunity.
“These 18 months at Strasbourg have been my best time.”
Rosenior’s expected appointment comes days after Chelsea parted ways with former manager Enzo Maresca following a reported fallout with the club’s executive leadership.

Chelsea are yet to make an official announcement, but Rosenior’s comments strongly suggest that the deal is nearing completion.
