- Lagos RORO Terminals Face Congestion as Vehicle Imports Surge
- Port and Terminal Multi-Services Limited is scheduled to receive 1,050 used vehicles this week
- Earlier in November 2025, about 1,200 vehicles were discharged at Lagos RORO
Five Stars Logistics has announced plans to transfer 1,200 vehicles from the Lagos Roll-on Roll-off (RORO) terminals to bonded terminals to reduce congestion, as five vessels jostle to offload 1,600 vehicles at the port, Eko Hot Blog reports.
According to shipping data from the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), two of the four vessels expected at the Lagos pilotage district have already arrived, carrying 450 used vehicles. The ships Silver Rayan and Lake Wanaka are expected to offload 250 and 200 units respectively this week.

Meanwhile, Port and Terminal Multi-Services Limited (PTML) is scheduled to receive 1,050 used vehicles this week. Among the expected vessels are Grande Senegal (350 units), Grande Dakar (400 units), and Grande Nigeria (400 units).
In a statement, Five Stars Logistics explained that 600 vehicles each would be transferred to Classic 3 Bonded Terminal and Clarion Bonded Terminal to reduce vessel waiting time and prevent terminal congestion. The management also urged clearing agents to verify the terminal location of their vehicles and submit step-down letters to the Customer Care Desk prior to vessel arrivals.
The measure comes amid a rebound in vehicle importation. In December 2025, five vessels offloaded 2,250 vehicles across Lagos RORO ports.
According to NPA shipping data, four of the vessels berthed at PTML, including Glovis Challenge (350 units), Grande Angola (350 units), Grande Abidjan (600 units), and Great Cotonou (500 units). Five Logistics Limited received 450 vehicles from Great Tema.
Earlier in November 2025, about 1,200 vehicles were discharged at Lagos RORO, with Great Lagos (500 units), Grande Marocco and Grande Gabon (350 units each), while Zhong Yi shipped 200 units to Eko Support Terminal. In October 2025, 1,250 vehicles arrived, including Grande Lagos (400 used cars), Grande Togo (350 units), and Great Cotonou (500 new vehicles).
