Sharing the news with her millions of followers, Savage emphasized that after years of building her brand on the global stage, she is focused on building sustainable structures at home in Nigeria and across the continent.
The foundation’s inaugural initiative is the ‘Berklee In Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Program.’
In a prestigious partnership with the world-renowned Berklee College of Music, the foundation will host a four-day intensive training session in Lagos from April 23 to 26, 2026.
This collaboration aims to bring top-tier international music pedagogy to local soil, bridging the gap for artists who may not have the resources to study music abroad.
The program is designed to be highly practical, focusing on the core pillars of the modern music industry: production, songwriting, sound engineering, and the business of music.
According to the foundation’s guidelines, the program will cater to 100 selected participants who will receive world-class training and direct mentorship from industry experts.

A key highlight of the initiative is its commitment to accessibility; applications are entirely free, and those selected for the program will receive full funding.
This move is specifically aimed at supporting underrepresented communities and talented individuals who lack the financial means to access premium industry training.
The application window opened on February 24, 2026, and will remain active until March 20, 2026.
Aspiring creatives from across Africa are encouraged to apply for a chance to learn from both local legends and international academic leaders.
Savage noted that her goal is not just to teach technical skills, but to foster the next generation of African music executives and artists who can compete on a global level while maintaining their unique cultural identity.
The launch of the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation follows a series of high-profile philanthropic and industry-facing moves by the singer.
By formalizing her commitment to education through this non-profit, Savage joins the ranks of other African superstars who are leveraging their global influence to institutionalize support for the continent’s booming creative economy.
As the African music industry continues its rapid expansion, initiatives like this are viewed by experts as crucial for ensuring that the technical and business sides of the industry keep pace with the world-class talent being produced.
