Eko Hot Blog reports that the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Surah Olayemi Animashaun, on Friday, March 6, 2026, officially swore in newly appointed Supervisors, Special Advisers, and Senior Special Assistants at a ceremony held at the council secretariat.
Describing the occasion as a defining moment for the administration, the Chairman noted that the appointments form part of efforts to strengthen governance and deliver impactful development at the grassroots level.
The ceremony attracted several distinguished personalities, including Sabit Adeyemi Ikuforiji, former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and member of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC);
Wale Raji, Member of the House of Representatives of Nigeria representing Epe Federal Constituency; and Abiodun Tobun, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Other dignitaries present included Sikiru Owolomoshe, Vice Chairman of Epe Local Government; Bola Gbabijo, former Member of the House of Representatives; Ahmed Seriki, former Commissioner at the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission; as well as Hassan Adedoyin, former Chairman of Epe Local Government, and Tunde Ogunkoya, Director of Lekki Free Zone Parcel B.
In her remarks, Surah Olayemi Animashaun congratulated the newly sworn-in officials, emphasizing that their appointments represent a call to serve the people of Epe with integrity, dedication, and measurable results.
“Your appointments represent a call to service. You must serve the people of Epe with commitment, transparency, and a clear focus on delivering development that impacts lives,” she said.
The Chairman reaffirmed that the administration remains committed to its development philosophy centered on progress and vision, noting that key priorities will continue to include infrastructure development, youth and women empowerment, and community advancement.
In his goodwill message, Sabit Adeyemi Ikuforiji commended the Chairman for her purposeful leadership and urged the newly appointed officials to support the administration’s development agenda with dedication.
Similarly, Wale Raji congratulated the appointees and encouraged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through diligent service to the people of Epe.
Also speaking, Abiodun Tobun applauded the Executive Chairman’s commitment to development in the council area and urged the new officials to work collectively with the administration to sustain progress and deliver more dividends of democracy.
The ceremony ended with a renewed call for unity, collaboration, and collective commitment toward the continued growth and development of Epe.
