Eko Hot Blog reports that the announcement, made through EbonyLife Group’s official channels, introduces a diverse array of talent to the project, which is based on the acclaimed novel by Lola Shoneyin.

Joining the production are industry heavyweights and rising stars, including Faithia Balogun Williams, Damilola Adegbite, and Nancy Isime.
The ensemble also welcomes Uzor Arukwe, Mike Ezuronye, and Blessing Jessica Obasi.
In a move that bridges traditional cinema with digital-era influence, the cast will feature Nkechi Blessing Sunday and Maleek, a member of the globally recognized parody group Ikorodu Bois.
These newly revealed actors will join the primary cast led by Odunlade Adekola, who stars in the titular role as Baba Segi.
The production’s lineup already boasts a powerhouse of female talent, with Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, Bimbo Ademoye, and Omowunmi Dada set to portray the complex lives of the household’s wives. Other notable performers attached to the project include Shaffy Bello and Bisola Aiyeola.
