The attacks, believed to have been carried out by suspected members of Boko Haram, have once again raised concerns about security in the region.
Tinubu expressed his condolences to the people of Borno State, acknowledging the pain caused by the recent violence, while assuring Nigerians that the military remains committed to defeating insurgency.
He revealed that during a recent meeting with security and intelligence chiefs, he approved additional equipment and operational support to strengthen ongoing efforts on the ground.
According to the President, those measures are already being implemented as part of a broader push to tackle the security challenges.

As part of immediate steps, Tinubu directed the country’s top security chiefs to move to Maiduguri to take direct charge of the situation and coordinate operations more effectively.
He also instructed emergency response agencies to ensure that victims of the attacks receive proper medical care and support.
The President maintained that despite recent incidents, efforts to combat insurgency are yielding results and will continue until lasting peace is restored.
