He said the fund has begun engaging key stakeholders to facilitate the rehabilitation of damaged and dilapidated police facilities in order to improve officers’ working conditions and enhance service delivery across the state.
Highlighting his administration’s early achievements, Ogunsan noted that strengthening the fund’s financial base was his immediate priority upon assuming office. According to him, this was pursued through strategic fundraising efforts and increased stakeholder engagement.
He revealed that new fundraising channels, including crowdfunding initiatives, were introduced, alongside deeper collaboration with private sector organisations, public institutions and individuals. An LSSTF Monitoring Team was also set up to ensure accountability and proper maintenance of assets provided to security agencies.

As part of efforts to strengthen Lagos’ security architecture, Ogunsan said the fund deployed 80 operational and patrol vehicles to improve rapid response and visibility, adding that more vehicles are expected.
He further disclosed that a sole donor has committed to building a permanent office complex for the fund. Construction, he said, has already commenced and is expected to be completed by October.
The LSSTF boss also noted that the fund organised a high-level fundraising breakfast meeting that brought together stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, reinforcing the shared responsibility for security in the state.
Ogunsan expressed appreciation to organisations and individuals who made donations within the last 100 days, describing their support as encouraging.
He added that the fund supported tertiary institutions with security vehicles and equipment to enhance campus safety and has begun statewide repairs of abandoned Armoured Personnel Carriers to return them to service.
According to him, the fund maintains regular engagement with security agencies to ensure effective deployment of resources and improved coordination across Lagos State.
