The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested four siblings in connection with the alleged murder of a private security guard during an attack on a farm in Jama’are Local Government Area.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, March 15, 2026, when hunters reported an assault on three private guards at the farm of Idris Waziri Kwamawa.

Responding to the report, a patrol team led by the Divisional Police Officer rushed to the scene, discovering that one of the guards, Bello Bura, 40, had been killed, while two others, Sani Hussaini, 32, and Gidado Mohammed, 32, from Jadauvi village in Gamawa LGA, sustained injuries.
“The victims were immediately taken to the General Hospital, where Bello Bura was confirmed dead. The injured guards are currently receiving medical treatment. The body of the deceased has been released to his family for Islamic burial,” said SP Nafiu Habib, Police Public Relations Officer.

Initial investigations led to the detention of six suspects, four of whom siblings from Bediri village, Jama’are LGA remain in custody for alleged culpable homicide. They have been identified as Chidawa Ahmadu, 25; Adamu Ahmadu, 20; Usman Ahmadu, 15; and Yusuf Ahmadu, 22.
Police recovered several items from the suspects, including three cutlasses, two sticks, and a torchlight, which are believed to have been used in the attack.
The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or via the command’s control room.
Authorities have assured the public that further investigations are ongoing to ensure all those involved are held accountable, and security measures will be strengthened to prevent similar incidents in the area.
