Eko Hot Blog reports that in his Eid-el-Fitr message delivered on Friday, March 20, Baba Bamu expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to witness another Eid celebration, while also calling for continued unity and support among residents.
“We give thanks to Almighty Allah for granting us the grace to witness this special occasion. It is a moment of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence,” he said.
He urged residents to remain supportive of the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly as the nation continues to navigate its developmental path.
“We must continue to support our leaders and pray for the success of the government, as this will translate into progress and stability for our communities,” he added.
Addressing the lingering power outage in Epe, which he attributed to acts of vandalism, Baba Bamu reassured residents that political office holders and relevant stakeholders are actively working to resolve the situation.
“The issue of electricity is being taken seriously. All hands are on deck to ensure that power is restored as quickly as possible,” he stated.
Speaking further in an interview, he expressed optimism that the ongoing efforts would yield results soon, with a target to restore electricity before the Ileya celebration.
“We are optimistic that, by the grace of God, electricity will be restored before Ileya. Necessary steps have been taken, and we are committed to delivering on this,” he said.
He also appealed to residents to remain patient and cooperative during this period, assuring them that the government remains committed to improving their welfare.
“We understand the challenges this outage has caused, and we urge our people to remain calm. The situation is being addressed, and better days are ahead,” he concluded.
The assurance comes amid growing concerns over prolonged power outages in Epe, with residents hopeful that the promised intervention will bring much-needed relief ahead of the festive season.
