The Senior Staff Association of Universities Teaching Hospitals, Research Institutes and Associated Institutions (SSAUTHRIAI) has successfully inaugurated its Protem Executive Committee at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Epe.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the inauguration ceremony, held on March 25, brought together national, state, and sectoral leaders of the association, alongside senior staff members across various departments of the hospital. The event was open to staff on CONHESS 6 and above, reflecting a broad and inclusive participation.
The newly inaugurated Protem Executive Committee for FMC Epe includes Felix Oyawiri Ejiro as Chairman, Omosehin-Ojikutu Omowunmi as Vice Chairman, Salami Tolulope Oluwaseun as General Secretary, Alesinloye Kemisola Helen as Treasurer, Arepo Olumide Oladotun as Financial Secretary, Asifat Sekinat Omobolanle as Public Relations Officer, and Ajisebutu Iyanoluwa as Trustee.
The oath-taking ceremony was conducted by representatives of SSAUTHRIAI from both the state and national levels, who charged the newly elected executives to uphold the principles of accountability, transparency, and effective representation of members’ interests.
Delivering remarks at the event, the Director of Administration, Mr. Shittu, who represented the Medical Director, noted the importance of unity and professionalism among staff.
“The formation of this executive is a step in the right direction towards strengthening staff welfare and ensuring effective collaboration within the system,” he said.
He also encouraged the new leadership to remain committed to the growth and stability of the institution. “You are expected to lead with integrity and work in harmony with the management for the overall development of FMC Epe,” he added.
The event also witnessed the presence of key SSAUTHRIAI representatives, including Comrade Adebayo Samuel Ayodele, Sector Vice Chairman; Comrade Tobi, Health Sector Secretary; Comrade Omoniyi, Branch Chairman of Psychiatry Hospital Yaba; Comrade Shamusudeen, Branch Chairman of Postgraduate College Ijanikin; Comrade Alhassan, Branch Chairman of FIRRO; and Comrade Adegoke Monsuru, former Trustee of the Health Sector.
Their presence underscored the importance of the inauguration and the association’s commitment to strengthening its structure across institutions.
The ceremony concluded with goodwill messages and words of encouragement from stakeholders, as the newly inaugurated executives begin their mandate to represent and advance the welfare of senior staff members at FMC Epe.
