A tragic road accident has claimed the life of a nine-year-old girl in Akungba-Akoko, located in Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident occurred on Sunday around Supare Junction along Supare Road, according to reports.

Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abayomi Jimoh, said the young girl was struck by an unregistered Mercedes-Benz tipper truck.
He explained that the victim was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel later confirmed her death.
The police said the driver of the truck has been arrested, while the vehicle has been taken into custody for further inspection.
Authorities have also launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
The police command expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and assured the public that the matter would be thoroughly handled.
