A 14-year-old British-Nigerian, Eghosa Ogbebor, has been shot dead in the Woolwich area of London, with three teenagers arrested in connection with the incident.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Metropolitan Police confirmed the killing in a statement on Friday, stating that officers responded to reports of a shooting at about 3:40 pm on Thursday on Lord Warwick Street.

Emergency responders, including paramedics, attempted to save the teenager, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police disclosed that three suspects aged 14, 16, and 18 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody as investigations continue.
Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, who is leading the investigation, appealed to members of the public to provide any useful information that could assist the probe.

She also extended condolences to the victim’s family, noting that they are being supported by specially trained officers, while urging the public to respect their privacy during this difficult period.
Authorities added that police presence has been increased in Woolwich to reassure residents amid growing concerns over youth-related violence in the area.
The incident adds to a worrying trend of violent crimes involving teenagers in the UK, with law enforcement agencies under pressure to curb rising youth violence.
