EKO HOT BLOG reports that she stated that the ADC remains serious about its political engagement and is not in the space for what she described as unserious conduct.
Reacting to recent political developments, Yesufu said Nigerians have become more active and responsive in holding leaders accountable.
“I love how active Nigerians have become! #ActiveCitizens.
“I always focus on the little wins. They snowball into the big wins.”
She added that the political climate has changed, noting that actions that may have gone unchallenged in the past are now being confronted.
“Some years ago, Amupitan would have gotten away with what he tried to do.
“At this stage it becomes mandatory that #AmupitanMustGo. My party is not here to play!”
Yesufu also expressed disappointment that she would not be present at the party’s first convention, citing a prior international commitment.
“The most painful part of all of this for me is that I will not be in the country for my FIRST party convention.
“I have accepted months ago to be at a workshop in Brazil. ADC Arise.”

Her comments add to growing political reactions surrounding the leadership of the electoral body and ongoing debates over neutrality ahead of future elections.
